It must go up and down with the charger’s engine speed, or it is not a lifter tick at all. A lifter tick is usually not accompanied by any other symptoms than the noise. Web trying to fix the lifter tick on the anemic 2.7 liter dodge magnum, it worked but a few weeks later the timing chain tensioner failed and shot the timing cha.
